Please help a Vietnam Vet who is struggling.

Hi my name is John Wilcher. My father David Wilcher, A Disabled Vietnam Veteran, suffered a major fall that broke his back in March of this year. He had major spinal-fusion surgery that has left him unable to recover fully without proper rehabilitation. Initially, he was transferred to a rehab facility that accepted his insurance but it quickly ran out due to the circumstances of dad’s injury. So we were forced to apply for Medicaid which has been pending but does not cover physical therapy, and ultimately, he will not qualify long term due to other financial difficulties. Which means we will be responsible for all current and future expenses, which is $9,000 per month for the rehab alone. I’ve been trying to get him help from the Veterans Administration in hopes of transferring him to a VA hospital, but have so far been unsuccessful. We are terrified at the current situation that has been put upon our family. Dad has been left bedridden and needs 24/7 medical attention. We fear losing everything, including our home, basic income that barely covers the mortgage and bills. Dad deserves better. He always worked hard his whole life and taught us to do the same. I never thought I would ever need to ask for help until it happened so fast that we have become overwhelmed. Please help us to protect a disabled combat veteran who survived war and is still fighting to survive a very difficult battle that has caused much pain and suffering physically and emotionally.
