A desperate plea reached us about a small, terrified Yorkie who had been abandoned in the lobby of a building, tied by his harness with a zip tie. When the person who found him approached, the little dog was huddled in a corner, frozen with fear. He didn’t move and didn’t make a sound. He was simply too terrified. The finder reached out on social media and contacted everyone they could for help, but no one was available. When we heard about Louie, our hearts broke. He was clearly suffering from severe neglect - dirty, badly matted, and missing patches of fur with bald areas on his skin. It’s obvious that this little dog has not had an easy life. We don’t yet know what medical issues he may have, only time, testing, and veterinary care will tell us what he needs to heal. But we do know that Louie deserves a second chance.
