Please don’t let a child wake up to nothing on Christmas day

So here we are again, the winter season quickly approaching, we all hoped vulnerable families would be in a stronger position this year but sadly its worse, higher fuel prices, higher food prices, more families being victims of rising private rents, leading to eviction, resulting in more homeless children, some in hostels, some in hotel rooms or just on family or friends floors, no facilities to cook with very low funds.

HOW IS THIS 2024

The Christmas countdown has started, shops decorated, tv adverts promising happy times. The most wonderful time of the year for some, the loneliest and saddest for others.

Here at Hunters Hall primary, we alone have 56 families that won’t have Christmas this year, they won’t have a hot meal, let alone a Christmas dinner, there be No Christmas treats, No Christmas tree and No Christmas presents from Santa, these children have tried so hard to be good in the hope of getting a special gift, how can Santa not come, so truly heartbreaking

HOW IS THIS 2024

Please, please help us to help these children get the Christmas they deserve, help us to provide a present from Santa, Christmas treats, extra funds so we can top up gas/ electric so they can bath and cook, we can provide coats, appropriate winter footwear, blankets to help keep warm.

These children deserve to smile, they deserve to be happy and they deserve to be included in the Magic of Christmas.

Every little helps towards a smile from an innocent child.
