My niece Alyssa decided to take a break from nursing to pursue her dream of owning her own business. She started Wanderlust Haven, a coffee bar and boutique in a trailer, 2 months ago. Her business was off to a great start and growing. Unfortunately, she sustained a serious injury a couple of weeks ago when the neck of her boutique trailer smashed her foot, causing her to lose all but her pinky toe. While she is in recovery and healing, she cannot work to provide income for herself and her daughter Adalynn. Being a new small business owner, she did not have health insurance for herself yet, and the medical bills are already piling up as well.
Alyssa is a wonderful single mom, supporting her daughter on her own. She is a very hard worker, with a huge heart, and she’s a helper. As a nurse, she cared for many people in our community and the surrounding area. She is a member of the volunteer Sabula Ambulance crew that shows up when people need help. In her small business, she enjoyed meeting and serving her customers with a smile. She is not one to ask for help and was reluctant to let me set this up for her, but right now, she needs help until she can get back to work.
I know Alyssa and Adalynn will be forever grateful for giving them a little help during this difficult time! Thank you!
