CLOUD Youth Club, based in the heart of Hebden Bridge, is a vital resource for young people across the Calder Valley. Supported by the young people themselves, and assisted by Reach4wrd, CLOUD offers a safe, inclusive space where young people can connect, grow, and thrive. CLOUD is safe place to socialise with experienced and knowledgeable staff, as well as their peers. Everything we provide is free because of our generous funders. There is no cost to families or young people.
But right now, we need your help. Without immediate funding, CLOUD Youth Club faces the risk of closing its doors to the 310 young people already registered because our national lottery funding is running out. We are seeking support to continue operations through to September 2025 and beyond.
CLOUD’s work is more important than ever. We serve young people who face isolation, loneliness, and mental health challenges. More than 60 young people are registered with us from home education backgrounds, who often face social isolation despite the benefits of their education. Additionally, 87 young people with additional support needs, including anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, rely on our club for community and understanding.
We are also proud to support and guide 7 young volunteers, giving them opportunities to build confidence and skills for work and collecting evidence for their Duke of Edinburgh award.
While we are applying for funding from several sources, we face uncertainty and need immediate assistance to ensure CLOUD Youth Club remains open and accessible to these young people. Your contribution will help provide essential services, reduce isolation, and promote inclusion for some of our most vulnerable young people.
Together, we can ensure that CLOUD Youth Club continues to be a beacon of support, connection, and growth for the young people who need it most.
