I am reaching out to ask for your help for someone who means so much to our family.

When Michael and I lived in St. Lucia in the early ’90s, we met Marilyn, our wonderful housekeeper who became a dear friend and our St. Lucian sister. At the time Marilyn had 3 great kids and now 34 years later, her eldest daughter, Vicky, who is now 41, sadly has stage 3 breast cancer.

She’s already undergone surgery and is having chemotherapy but also will need radiation treatment that isn’t available in St. Lucia. The travel and medical costs are more than she can manage. She is already in debt for medical bills as most of the treatments are not covered in St. Lucia.

Vicky is a hardworking single mom, with a 24 and 20 year old and she is also a young grandmother of a 1.5 year old.

In Vicky’s own words: “I’m fighting this for my mom and granddaughter, because my life will never be the same. But I would tell anyone to fight and have faith.”

Vicky has faith that she will live.
