Hi, my name is Lisa Jarrett, and I am truly thankful for you taking the time to read my story. On April 9, 2023, my daughter received a liver transplant. Samantha is 28 years old, and we are so thankful for this gift of life. Recently, my daughter was diagnosed with a fatal liver disease. Over the past year she was not able to stay out of the hospital with countless days in ICU due to her failing liver and kidneys. On Easter Sunday, we received the call, she was given a liver. After numerous surgeries she is now stable and recovering nicely. This gift that we received is truly a blessing. Samantha is a loving, caring person with a bubbly personality. However, this is financial burden for her and our family. She will have to take medication the rest of her life. It will be a long hard journey back to a normal life.
