Hi my name is Nathan, myself and my wife aimée lost our baby boy Rossie in August 2021, we gave birth to him at 25 weeks weighing 2lb 3 We had him in Northampton hospital in the baby loss suite but there was only 1 room for this sad purpose and we almost didn't get the chance to use it and was almost made to use a normal maternity room on the labour ward where we would be surrounded by new born baby's which was heartbreaking to hear. After a few weeks we got in touch with sands charity and attended a support group in September 2021, we didn't know what to expect at this group and was blown away by the support of all the parents and family's who have went through this heartbreaking situation. We have now made so many friends here for life. I now play for sands united football team on Sundays and a dad's team on a Thursday evening aswell as the charity team to raise money for the cause and currently raising money for a new baby loss suite at Northampton General hospital so people can get the opportunity to give birth to their baby and spend the most precious time with them in a peaceful loving environment.
