You don't know me and this is not my story.

I am simply the cousin that is here to narrate.

This is a story about a young woman called Lucy who has very recently received the news that none of us would want to receive.

It has been roughly 4 months since diagnosis and Lucy was told this week by her consultant that the rectal cancer she has been living with isn't curable and has now spread to other areas. Lucy will begin palliative chemo in the near future.

I cannot begin to explain the strength and resilience I have witnessed from her because I do not have the words to describe it.

Not once have I heard Lucy complain during this whole process. Instead, she has solely thought about the well being of others like her Partner and her 2 beautiful little boys.

My family will eventually lose a truly beautiful soul and the world loses someone who's story wasn't finished.

This gofundme has been setup with the sole purpose to raise funds towards the things my cousin would like to do whilst she has time on her side.

Your donation will help with things like the cost of Lucy and her partner bringing their wedding date forward, to creating lasting memories with her 2 little boys or towards whatever she wishes.

Lucy.. if you read this I want you to know I am so proud of you. I want you to know that if I had the chance to turn back the clock and we were kids again i'd spend more time letting you know how important you are to me.

I want you to know that you are so loved and will always be loved. I want you to know that a huge chunk of people will never let your time on Earth be reduced to a statistic.

Cancer can claim your physical form but it can never truly take you from us. It cannot take what you have given to so many people's lives. It cannot erase the memories you have made with so many in your 27 laps around the sun. It cannot stop those of us that will remain here from saying your name.
