Can you imagine, a 17 year old physically fit boy suddenly collapsed and had a severe brain stroke?
Yes, it happened to Ahmed Samir Azmi and now he is under treatment at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore.
Azmi is a Bangladeshi boy residing in Malaysia since his birth in 2005. He has finished IGCSE with an outstanding result from Greenview Islamic International School and got offer from Malaysia University of Science and Technology to pursue Diploma in Business Studies. As a requirement of Immigration Dept. of Malaysia, Azmi had to leave the country to process the student pass.
In line with that, Azmi was traveling alone from KL to DAC by Singapore Airlines on the 5th of April 2023. He was so excited to view the Changi Airport and wanted to take photos with his favourite DSLR camera as photography was his passion. Rather than that, he loved cycling, hiking, writing, baking etc. He was almost going to finish memorizing the whole Quran practicing by himself at home.
Everything was just fine. He managed to walk around the Airport, managed to explore the cockpit with the help of the captain, managed to eat McD. But we didn't know what was going to happen next. Allaah SWT planned something else for Azmi.
The parents were informed at 11:45 pm on the same day that Azmi collapsed at the transit area in Changi Airport unconscious. The airport authority immediately sent him to the nearest Changi General Hospital where the doctors diagnosed him with severe brain hemorrhage.
Alhamdulillah, the doctors at CGH took urgent actions to save Azmi's life by doing a major surgery in his brain to stop the bleeding. He was in ICU until 8th of April at CGH. Later, Azmi was transferred to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for better treatment. All this while, he was alone and Allaah SWT showered His blessings upon Azmi by sending some good people to observe him and update the parents in Malaysia.
New chapter started at TTHS from 8th of April. ..
An EVD (external ventricular drainage) was inserted to control his brain pressure on 13th of April. In the meantime, Azmi also underwent CT scans, MRI contrast, angiogram and many more tests as situation demanded.
Azmi was shifted to the general ward from ICU on the 2nd of May after removing the EVD. Since the first day, he has been bed bound and minimally responsive until now. Another surgery have to be done in 6 months time as he is in post craniotomy condition now.
It's a long way....
Long way to do Azmi's treatment...
Long way ahead of Azmi's life...
The cost of Azmi's medical treatment has far exceeded what his family members are able to afford.
We are turning to you, our community, for assistance, by praying for Azmi and by supporting financially
Be the BEST for huminity..
Be the BEST for helping Azmi's treatment...
