A year ago, my mother was diagnosed with stages two and three colon cancer. She was, however, given two to five years, possibly longer with chemo. Immediately, the hospital stays started. Eventually, as time went on, we found out she also had stage two of another type in her lungs and that it had metastasized from stage four pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, while undergoing chemo, we unexpectedly lost my mother this June. She was doing great one day, even stood and took several steps for the first time in months, fighting with everything she had, but suddenly overnight her condition deteriorated. Even with hospitalization and multiple kinds of antibiotics, her body wasn't strong enough and we lost her.
During this last year, I reduced my working hours more and more as she needed more care and put all of my savings into her care. Be it equipment and supplies that insurance did not cover, copays, or food for the specialized diet they had written up for her. Now, I am left with her debt, the cost of her cremation and services, as well as the property taxes on her home, and my own bills and expenses. I have a 4-year-old son and while my partner helps as much as he can afford, we cannot afford all of this on our own. While we are looking for better employment opportunities, that takes time we do not have. I beg of you, please help my little family stay afloat until I can get on my feet. Any donation, no matter how small, will help. Donations will be used to settle moms debts and keep up with the household bills and expenses. Thank you for your time, consideration, and any donations, or sharing this fundraiser.
