Most of you have heard about my grandbabies being rescued off a mountain after what was supposed to be a simple day hike. It took longer than expected, and then Micah and the 3 kids were caught in a severe storm. The 8-year-old girl was released from the emergency room after being life-flighted from the mountain after spending all night in freezing temperatures. The 2-year-old was in serious condition and had to be resuscitated, but is on the mend and doing well. The 4-year-old is still in critical condition; they had to remove part of his skull to relieve pressure. He suffered a stroke and is now going to have a fight to recover all his little body functions.

Many months in the hospital, to teach some level of recovery, then physical therapy to recover use of his left side and learn to walk and talk and play. We are hopeful. Very hopeful. But Mom will need to be ever-present. She sits next to his bed and even though he is unconscious, she strokes his hand and head and reads stories and talks to him. But she will need to find a way to stay near him, and that may require extended stay rooms, gas, food, and who knows.

They say full recovery can be a possibility since he is so young, but it will take months and months of physical therapy, mental therapy, emotional therapy, love, and attention. He is very much a momma's little boy.

Please help me help her. Anything can help.
