Global Irish Radio is a 100% volunteer-run station, broadcasting Irish music and culture to listeners around the world. We are the Irish diaspora station with a mission to preserve and promote Irish music, heritage and culture while giving a voice to the Irish diaspora. "We do it for the love of our heritage and the joy of sharing it — not for profit" says Founder, Sean G. - but it does require a music license!

And while none of us earn a penny, we believe the artists we play should. Our ad revenue is zero and we receive zero government funding. As our listenership grows, so too does the license fee.
