Hi, I’m Alissa,
I’m the founder of PLAY.
PLAY. is a somatic, ritual experience working at the intersection of culture, wellbeing, and collective transformation.
Over the past year, I have been developing PLAY. as a structured, living method that works directly with the body through movement, sound, and the sensorial experience. This approach supports emotional release, nervous system regulation, and deep social connection.
This work responds to a growing global need.
We are living through rising levels of burnout, disconnection, and dissociation. People are increasingly separated from their bodies, their emotions, and each other.
PLAY. exists to restore that connection through embodied, collective experience.
What is PLAY.
PLAY. is a facilitated, large-scale somatic experience rooted in physical practices, ritual structure, sound, and immersive environment design.
Each session follows a carefully designed arc, guiding participants through activation, exploration, expression, collective synchronisation, and integration.
It works across the full human system:
• The physical body through movement and sensation
• The emotional field through expression and release
• The perceptual field through awareness, meaning, and connection
By engaging these layers together, PLAY. creates the conditions for integration, presence, and transformation.
It is both artistic and therapeutic in nature, operating as a movement experience and a cultural intervention.
At its core, PLAY. restores the body as a site of intelligence and reactivates community as a lived, embodied experience.
Why this matters now
We are facing a crisis of embodied presence.
• Mental health challenges are rising globally
• Dissociation is becoming a dominant pattern in daily life
• Communal and cultural spaces are disappearing
• Digital environments are fragmenting attention and connection
There is a widening gap between how we live and what the body and nervous system require in order to feel, process, and relate.
PLAY. is designed to meet that gap.
Why we’re fundraising
Our 2026 programme is currently paused due to lack of funding.
We are raising support to:
• Secure and hold a dedicated venue
• Pay artists, facilitators, and collaborators fairly
• Develop production, sound, and visual storytelling at scale
• Ensure accessibility through subsidised and free tickets
PLAY. has been self-funded and community-powered to date.
We are now at a critical point of expansion and are committed to growing this work with integrity and long-term vision.
What you’re supporting
This is the development of a new cultural format with the potential to scale across cities and communities globally.
Your contribution directly enables:
• The growth of an original somatic methodology
• A sustainable ecosystem for artists and facilitators
• Accessible, high-impact experiences for diverse audiences
• The long-term evolution of PLAY. as a global platform
In return
• Your name included in our public acknowledgements, if desired
• Complimentary access to future PLAY. experiences
• Opportunities to stay connected as the project evolves
If this resonates
If you believe in a future where culture supports embodied connection, collective presence, and human development, we invite you to support this work.
PLAY. is being built to meet this moment.
Thank you for being part of it.
