Plants 4 the People is founded on the idea that food has the power to heal, educate, and connect people. Many people don’t have the means or the knowledge to engage in healthy eating habits, let alone cultivate their own produce. Our mission is to educate, promote, and sustain a strong community through engaging with what is in our garden and on our plates.
We are currently fundraising for our flagship project of building a community garden. We have plans to over multiple phases build out a 20,000 square foot garden that includes an outdoor classroom, lots of raised bed gardening space, a hydroponics system, and eventually a small greenhouse. The idea is to create a hands-on learning environment where the community can come together to connect with each other and the Earth.
