Hello,
My name is Luis Velazquez Santos, and I am reaching out in a moment of desperation—but also hope.
In July 2024, my life changed. I lost my job—not because of poor performance, but due to discrimination. From there, everything unraveled. At this point, I have lost my business, one of my vehicles, my insurance policies, and the financial stability I worked for years to build.
Then, as if the struggle wasn’t enough, a hurricane hit, leaving me even more displaced. I turned to FEMA and the government for help, but none came. Now, I find myself living with my elderly mother, who is already caring for my disabled sister. I see the weight this situation puts on her, and I know she worries about me as much as I worry about her. I never imagined I would be in this position—struggling just to survive, searching for a way forward that feels impossible to find.
But I refuse to give up.
Why I’m Asking for Help:
I am doing everything I can to rebuild, but I can't do it alone. I need help covering basic living expenses, legal fees, and necessities while I fight for justice and a second chance.
This isn’t just about money—it’s about regaining the dignity and security that was taken from me.
How You Can Make a Difference:
-If you can donate, even a little, it will help me get through this tough time.
- Sharing my story can reach someone who might be able to help.
- Words of encouragement mean the world right now. Your kindness is strength.
I have spent my life helping others, offering support when I could, standing up for what’s right. Now, I’m the one in need. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but I believe in the goodness of people and the power of community.
Thank you for taking the time to hear my story. If you can help, in any way, I will be forever grateful.
With all my heart,
Luis F. Velazquez Santos
