Support Our Family's Relocation

We are Kevin and Laura Crowley and we are the proud parents of two exceptional human beings. They are smart, kind, creative, curious, funny, and loving. One of them happens to also be transgender. As we all know, the US has become an increasingly hostile place for trans individuals and we are not immune to the hatred and vitriol. At this time our ability to secure our child's healthcare in Arizona has been stripped away and the fear that a national ban on gender affirming care will be enacted is very real. Additionally, there is a quickly growing movement to classify childhood gender dysmorphia under the umbrella of child abuse, placing us at risk of prosecution and our children at risk of being removed from our care. Beyond the anti-trans laws being introduced across the country (more than 900 this year alone), the overall growing bigotry towards families and children like ours is becoming untenable.

It is with deep sadness and trepidation, but also with hope, that we have made the decision to relocate our family to a new country in the hopes that our children will have access to the safe, inclusive, joyful life that they deserve. The cost of this move, emotionally, physically, and financially, is truly daunting and we are reaching out in the hopes that you might be able to help fund this move to protect the wellbeing of our family.
