Support Chelsea's Family After Hurricane Helene

Hello friends and family!
On September 26th our family home in Riviera Bay flooded bad during Hurricane Helene. We had water entering in through all 3 doors of our house. We had 8-10 inches at least in every single room. We had 25+ sandbags out just in case but the water still found its way in. We were home riding the hurricane out with our 2 kids but there was not much we could do to stop it from coming in. We just sat there all night watching our home be destroyed by the storm surge. We lost so much stuff we worked so hard for over the years. It was heartbreaking throwing everything out that couldn’t be saved. Thankfully our cars both survived being parked down the street. One less thing to stress about and thankful for. It’s been hard for all of us.
Our home has been in my life for almost 26 years now and not once has it ever flooded inside. Bought back in 1998 and took it over from my mom. I grew up there and it holds a special place in our hearts.
We do have insurance but still waiting to get estimates and any money to begin rebuilding. It’s going to take a while as thousands of others are dealing with the same stress we are. Was denied FEMA because I do not own the house. It’s still in mom’s name and not mine. We lost 80% of our furniture. Need to replace all cabinets and appliances. Put back in 2 feet of drywall throughout the house that was cut out. We’ve been hopping around between Airbnb's and hotels so our kids can have somewhere safe to stay and sleep until our home is livable again for them. Using up more gas than normal going back and forth further than we’re used to. The last thing we want to do is worry about money for everything and the financial burden this can cause our family.
We are the type of people who hate asking anyone for help and will be the last to do so. I had many of our friends and family reach out asking what we need and how they can help. Any amount is much appreciated as we all start over during this difficult time. No donation is too small as we replace everything we lost. Praying for everyone affected by these hurricanes as I know many others going through it and had it worse. I am so happy to have my family safe and alive. We will make it through one day at a time. We are beyond grateful for everyone’s help these past few weeks and all the love that has been shown. Thank you for all previous donations sent. It means so much to us❤️❤️❤️
