Hello/ Namaste everyone,
I am CSgt Santosh Rai, serving with the Int Cell, 2RGR, and currently deployed in Kenya as part of TDS.
I am undertaking a fundraising initiative in support of Project KAIDA, a major redevelopment programme led by The Gurkha Museum in Winchester, UK. To raise awareness and support for this cause, I will be submitting Mount Kenya from 28 to 30 November 2025.
Mount Kenya stands at an impressive 5,199 meters (17,057 feet) above sea level, making it the highest peak in Kenya and the second-highest mountain in Africa, after Mount Kilimanjaro.
Project KAIDA is a four-year transformation project aimed at modernising the Gurkha Museum into a world-class centre that honours the heritage, ethos, and contributions of the Gurkhas to the British Army and beyond. This includes gallery renovations, digitisation of archives, and expanded educational outreach.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping preserve and promote Gurkha history for future generations. I sincerely thank you in advance for your generosity and support toward this important cause.
Together, let’s honour the legacy.
