Dental Mission Trip to Comayagua, Honduras
Donation protected
Hello, The University of Pittsburgh's chapter of Delta Sigma Delta Professional Dental Fraternity is returning to Comayagua, Honduras this May of 2023 to provide completely free dental care to the people of Honduras. In this trip last year, a team of 28 students and 2 faculty served 1800 patients in a span of four days completing restorations, extractions, root canals, and cleanings. Through these services, we helped hundreds of people get much needed dental care that is inaccessible in their area. To see the relief of pain and appreciation we were able to provide these people was a priceless experience. However, in order to make this possible again for hundreds of people again this year, we are asking for help to subsidize some of our costs of the trip. We will be taking all of our own dental materials and equipment overseas from Pittsburgh to Honduras, and we would greatly appreciate any support you are willing to provide. This experience not only helps us as developing dentists, but also provides a vital service to a population that needs our help. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and contribute anything you are able. Pitt Dental Delta Sigma Delta
