Pitkin, Colorado, Mail Carrier Needs Good Vehicle

Pitkin's mail carrier, Judy, drives 17 miles to Parlin every morning, delivers the mail for people along the way, and to the Post Office Boxes in Ohio City, to others there and here, and to our Post Office in Pitkin. Then she waits about 1-1/2 hours here in Pitkin, then takes our outgoing mail back down to Parlin so that it can travel on its way to wherever it is going. She does this six days a week. She has a 1999 Subaru Forester, which she loves, but it has over 500,000 miles on it and has been in the shop many times over the past five years or more. It is time for our community, people she serves every day, to pitch in to help her get a more reliable car! It need not be a new car, but a reliable car that has enough room in it to carry packages and mail back and forth to Parlin. Judy is a contract employee and not a paid USPS worker.
