Hi, I’m Alexander and I am a high school student living in Bellingen, on the mid north coast in New South Wales.

For my Year 8 project, I’m working to fix up the old cricket nets at Piggott Park. They’ve been part of our community for ages, but now they’re falling apart—and I want to bring them back to life.

The fencing is rusty, the nets are torn, and heaps of kids keep losing their cricket balls down the stormwater drain. I’ve even seen some run onto the road trying to chase them, which is really dangerous.

I’m raising money to restore the nets so that kids in Bellingen can have a safe and awesome place to play cricket again. Every bit of support helps!

Important Note

This project is subject to approval from Council, as the cricket nets are located on community land. We are currently working to secure permission to rebuild the nets (see below for the link to my online petition), and we’re confident this project will provide lasting benefits to our local community.

However, if Council approval is not granted, or if circumstances arise that prevent us from proceeding with the rebuild, we will refund all donations in full. To ensure transparency, funds raised will not be withdrawn from GoFundMe until Council approval has been received and we are ready to begin the project
