Our sweet dog Piper recently faced a life-threatening blockage in her small intestine that required emergency surgery and a three-day hospital stay. It all happened so quickly, and we’re incredibly grateful she pulled through — she’s truly part of our family. Unfortunately, the cost of her care was significant and unexpected.

We’ve been preparing for my son’s scheduled leg surgery next month, and while we had planned carefully for that expense, Piper’s emergency completely threw our finances off balance. We’re doing everything we can, but this unexpected situation has put us in a really difficult spot.
