Hi, my name is Christie and I am a Year 11 student at John XXIII College. This July, I have been given the opportunity to take part in a pilgrimage to Cape York — a unique cultural immersion experience focused on connection, service, reflection, and learning alongside Traditional Owners on Country.

This journey will enable me to deepen my understanding of Aboriginal culture and history through genuine conversations and shared experiences. I hope to grow as a person through service learning, reflection, and stepping outside my comfort zone, while building meaningful connections with both the community and the students around me.
