Piermont Pier Waterfront Beautification

Donation protected
The Piermont Pier Waterfront Beautification Project is intended to preserve the Piermont Pier’s natural beauty by removing 15 existing utility poles along Ferry Road and installing the overhead power lines and other supported public utilities underground. The removal of the utility poles and supported overhead cables will eliminate the barrier standing in the way of the Piermont Pier’s full beauty which is a landmark cherished by Piermont residents and visitors. The project will enhance the scenic view and desirability for park-goers of the Piermont Pier by illuminating an aesthetically appealing unobstructed view.

The project was originated by Piermont Landing residents and is being privately funded.  At this stage of the project we have a contract with Orange & Rockland, approval from the Village of Piermont and the required permitting from the Department of Environmental Conservation. We have raised over $100,000 through contributions from Piermont Landing residents and local Piermont businesses. We would like to ask you to partner with us to enrich our community and make a financial contribution. We require an additional $50,000 to fund the remainder of the project by mid-August 2019 when the project will hopefully commence.

The Project Sponsor and lead contractor is Fanshawe, Inc. dba Rockland Electric, an Electrical Contractor based in Nanuet, New York. The Founder and Vice President is George Fanshawe who lives in the Piermont Landing Community. Rockland Electric is a licensed and bonded Electrical Contractor that specializes in all phases of electrical construction for residential, commercial and industrial customers. George Fanshawe has agreed to perform Rockland Electric's scope of work for the project at no cost in order to advance the development of the community.

We would graciously accept donations from Piermont residents, local Piermont businesses, Piermont Pier park-goers and any individual or business who is willing to support the beautification of our community. If you are a business entity who makes a donation greater than $1000 to the project, your company will be formally acknowledged and listed on the Piermont Pier sponsorship sign which will be installed onsite.

We appreciate your generosity!
