Piecing Together Hope for Ashley and Sal's IVF Journey
Donation protected
My name is Kayla and I am making this to support my sister Ashley and my brother-in-law Sal with their IVF journey.
They have been married for 8 years and have struggled with having a baby. They have had multiple miscarriages that have led them to seek fertility help. It is really taking a toll on them and the only thing in the world they want is a baby. I just want her to have the family that she and her husband have always wanted and deserve.
In September of 2024, Ashley and Sal started their fertility journey. Ashley had a test done to make sure her fallopian tubes are open and functional. After this test, Ashley got an infection in her left fallopian tube that led to her being in the hospital for a week. This infection had to be surgically drained out of her fallopian tube. It was very scary, to say the least.
After she was released, she remained in pain for a few weeks but was slowly on the mend. Seeing two different OB-GYNs and her PCP, all three recommended that she seek help at the Institute for Reproductive Health. Dr. Robertshaw informed her that she will not be able to have a child on her own due to the damage to her fallopian tubes and recommended IVF. Her fallopian tube is killing off the egg and sperm.
As we all know, medical treatments can be very expensive. While she does have medical insurance, not everything is covered because this is elective and not a necessity, which is sad. As women, we should be able to do the one thing that our bodies are supposed to do. She is a VERY strong woman but I know deep down how this is wrecking her and my brother-in-law. They are both broken and feel hopeless. They want nothing more than to be a mom and dad.
I wouldn't be writing this if life were fair. I am doing this because it takes a village and they shouldn't have to face this road alone. It's been too hard on them already.
We have created a 1000-piece puzzle to go into my future niece or nephew's nursery. We will be selling each piece of this puzzle. We are hoping to complete this puzzle to not only let Ashley and Sal but also their future baby know all of the people who love and support them in their wish to become a family.
We will be writing each donors names on the back of a puzzle piece to show the village that came together to support them ❤️
Any amount of support that is not utilized for their fertility treatments will be donated to another couple seeking IVF help.
If we all come together and donate even one dollar, imagine the difference it could make. It literally takes a village!!! So let's come together and make this family whole! ❤️
If you are not able to donate, SHARE! It costs absolutely nothing to share their story! Ashley and Sal are not alone. 1 in 6 people globally are affected by infertility. Let's not let them be another statistic.
You can also donate through Venmo @ashleynicole6539 OR through CashApp $ashleynicole6539
Thank you for all of your love and support ❤️
