Picture of Health
We are a nonprofit 501 c-3 community based organization providing free on-site fitness training, nutritional guidance and wellness support resources for those battling cancer and other chronic medical conditions in Los Angeles County (South Bay Region). 

Picture of Health was launched to help fill a gap in community based physical fitness programs for cancer survivors in Los Angeles County. In our Torrance location, we aid survivors regain the physical ability to return to a productive, independent life after suffering from the debilitation of cancer and other chronic medical conditions.


Through strength and conditioning training, we help our survivors prepare for surgeries as well as regain strength after surgery.  We help our survivors regain balance after enduring several months of chemotherapy when their equilibrium has been compromised.

Because the financial costs of cancer treatment are often times overwhelming to patients, Picture of Health provides free clinics for survivors in our community in most need of our support.  These clinics are funded entirely by donations like yours.

Your Contribution to Picture of Health 
A donation to Picture of Health today will help us to expand our weekly community fitness clinics to serve more participants with greater reach and frequency. Picture of Health needs to raise 100% of its operating costs to ensure that the free clinics can continue and expand to support new survivors each month. We work with Certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches who instruct participants on how to exercise based on their current physical condition and energy levels before, during and after treatment.

Picture of Health is also involved with other wellness groups and organizations such as End Results Health & Wellness, The American Cancer Society, Susan G Komen Foundation, Avon Foundation, Live Strong Foundation, The American Diabetes Foundation, and the American Heart Association. Picture of Health staff work closely with these organizations to bring awareness of our services.


Physical Actvity and Nutrition Education Workshops
Picture of Health also offers educational seminars and workshops to help educate the general public about the benefits of frequent exercise and proper nutrition to help prevent or lessen cancer and other chronic medical diseases.
