My son’s life was forever changed in an instant. He was driving his dump truck on a highway in Broward when another truck suddenly cut across four lanes of traffic to avoid missing an exit. The reckless maneuver caused my son’s truck to flip. The driver who caused it never stopped—he fled the scene.

Despite the heroic efforts of first responders, including an airlift to the hospital, my son’s injuries were devastating. He survived, but he tragically lost both of his legs.

Our family is now living through a nightmare that no parent ever imagines. As the police continue to search for the driver who did this, we are left facing an uncertain and overwhelming future. My son has two young children who adore him, but along with their love and need for their father comes enormous challenges—mounting medical expenses, painful recovery, and the sudden loss of his primary source of income.

The emotional and financial burden is more than we can carry alone. Any help, no matter how small, would mean the world to us as we try to rebuild his life and give his children the stability they deserve.
