Photo Recovery for Amanda

Donation protected
December 15th, 2009, my close friend, Amanda Buckland was victim to a tragedy that no human being should ever have to endure. Her husband Charles, and their two children, Joshua (4yo), and Emma (8months old) were killed in a house fire.

Neighbors were able to rescue her, but despite their efforts they were not able to save her family.

One of the items she was able to retrieve after the fire was a laptop. The laptop was too damaged to function but the hard drive is intact. On it are hundreds of photos of her children including up to the weeks leading up to the fire.

She received a quote to recover the files, the company examined the hard drive and has confirmed that they are indeed able to retrieve the files and that it would cost $1750 to do so.

Unfortunately, this price is just out of reach. Amanda the most amazing, compassionate, generous, resilient human beings you could ever hope to befriend. I wish I alone were able to fund this for her, but I need your help.

No donation is too small. She'd be grateful for anything getting her closer to photos of her babies.

If you'd like to read her story in her own words, the below is a link to a blog post she wrote two years after the fire as well as news articles:
