PHortheKids U.S. donations for the Philippines

Donation protected
Normally I try to do stuff on my own but it's time to put pride aside and reach out for help. You're probably aware that we've been trying to help out needy families, here in the Philippines, with items (mainly clothes, toys and household items) donated from the U.S.. We originally tried get toys and books to the children...some have never had any before. Imagine NEVER having had a single toy or a book of your own? I'm planning to go back to N.Y. in June/July to collect things from everyone who wants to give. I'm still willing to do all of the work of collecting, separating, and boxing in N.Y. and...the recieving, grouping and distributing, here, in the Philippines. We have plenty of help on both ends but we could use help to pay for the following expenses: Rental vehicles and gas to pick up all donations. Boxes and packing materials Shipping from NY to Philippines Rental for storage of items, here, in Bacolod (if I cant come up with a free location this time) Rental vehicles and gas for distribution of donations Besides all of the hard work, we paid for EVERYTHING in the past and could really use help to continue. I will be setting up a GoFundMe page so we can, hopefully continue this venture. 100% of money donated will go to the process. Promise. If we don't receive enough to continue the event, as is, I will use the money to get items, here, as an alternative. Some people have questioned why we wouldnt just use the money we have spent to buy items here in the Philippines and distribute them? While we have done this for some events...the reason we dont for this specific event is simply that we wanted to include people from the U.S., by using their personal items, in making a difference in peoples lives. The generous donations have actually been of more value than the money spent so...if possible...I'd like to keep this going in this way to allow more people to be personally involved. 100% of the donated items goes to less fortunate families here in the Philippines. We take pictures of all of donation events and thank you videos from the children. Please check out the PHortheKids facebook page and group. If you have any questions about donating...feel free to private message me at Robert Vialle on Facebook...any time. I really hope we can keep this going. Thank you in advance!! We appreciate all of you! March 21 update: Due to the lack of donations and the uncertainty of travel...I've decided to change my approach to the donations this year. Instead of collecting items in NY and shipping them to the Philippines...I will now be purchasing items in the Philippines and distributing them. Because of the change...I've lowered the goal from $5000 to $2500. I regret that I can't include a lot of my friends (old and new) in the actual donation process and that it wont be as big as last year but hopefully we can still help so many kids in the mountain areas and the streets of Bacolod.
