Auchy La Montagne would like a British Red Phone Box as a book exchange for the village. Let’s us, the riders, get one for them!

Everybody who has ridden P2P over the last 25 years will have been touched by the welcome and generosity or the people of Auchy La Montagne. The signs on the way in, the honour guard, food, music and, let’s not forgot wine and coffee for all.

When RBL approached Auchy La Montagne as a prospective stop for ride one they were welcomed with open arms and they have been providing a wonderful reception to us all since then.

They do this from local donation and in memory of being liberated by the British 8th Armoured Division towards the end of WWII. An inspiring act of active Remembrance that certainly put a few more miles in my legs on my first P2P in 2021.

So let’s get them a phone box and if we raise enough a George 6th post box as well - a small thanks for all they do and will continue to do for the riders of Pedal to Paris.
