Phoenix was born 10 weeks early in January 2016. He spent 8 weeks in NICU at St James and for a good portion of his stay he required ventilation to help his lungs to develop. During this time, he suffered a lack of oxygen to his brain causing irreversible brain damage and cerebral palsy.
Now at age 5, he is doing amazingly. He is a very happy little boy enjoying school making friends and has a great love for game shows, especially tipping point and Ben Shephard however he requires a lot of specialist equipment to make all these things possible. We are lucky to have a fantastic team of professionals around us in the NHS but they are only able to provide so much for us. We are in desperate need of a specialist car seat for Phoenix that suits his needs which is something that cannot be provided for him.
