Hi my name is Lindy Amos and together with Jules McDonald (President) and Jennifer Beacham (Treasurer) we are members of the Daylesford Cinema Group.
We need your help to restore the operation of our beloved community run facility. We know there is huge suppport for a community run cinema in Daylesford, and with your support, we can transform the partially built cinema upstairs at The Rex into a vibrant community space, now known as Phoenix@TheRex.
The historic Rex building is poised to become a cultural hub once again with your generosity and support.
Our Vision for Phoenix@TheRex:
- A Community-Driven Cinema: A place where locals and tourists alike can enjoy a diverse range of films, from classic blockbusters to independent gems.
- A Cultural Melting Pot: Hosting film festivals, stand-up comedy, live music, and more.
What Your Donation Will Fund:
- Cinema Completion: Finishing the shell of the cinema, including soundproofing and lighting.
- Seating and Equipment: Purchasing comfortable seats, a high-quality projector, and surround sound system.
- Bar/Café and Ticketing Area: Creating a welcoming space for refreshments and ticket sales.
- Operational Costs: Covering expenses during the initial establishment phase.
