Putting the Mile in TeiganSmile
Hi, my name's Phillip, and I will be doing the Coast2Coast Cycle Challenge on the 22nd of August 2023 to raise funds for my younger sister Teigan-Rose Bayliss alongside close friends Jamie Andrews, Dan Tourle & Matt Armstrong. Teigan was born a healthy baby, but at just two weeks old she was kissed on the lips by someone who had a cold sore, from this Teigan contracted Herpes Meningitis HSV-1 and after a period of suffering from seizures whilst waiting in A&E, she had been diagnosed with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. Since then Teigan has had two double hip operations, a gastrostomy button put in and countless more. Before COVID-19 hit, Teigan was attending specialist physiotherapy in Northampton, which would've enabled her to be one of the first children in the UK to use a robotic walking suit. Due to the pandemic, this had been stopped due to the inability to fund this and has resulted in backward development. Teigan is my rock, my little hero, my little superstar, and these funds will be used for her to get back to Northampton for the physiotherapy she requires.
