My mother is raising funds to help the community in Cebu, Philippines, where she is from.
A 6.9-magnitude quake that struck the island province of Cebu left at least 72 dead and hundreds injured on the evening of 10/2/2025. The aftershocks are also causing more damage and casualties. My mother was in Cebu while this happened, but is home safe now back here in the U.S. Thankfully, she, as well as the rest of my family in Cebu, are all unharmed.
This fundraiser is NOT for my family, but for the community. People are in need of shelter, food, fuel, etc. People are sleeping in tents, using garbage bags to protect themselves from the rain, and trying to keep young children safe. Many have lost loved ones and could use a little help. The U.S. dollar goes very far there, and any amount helps. Thank you for your compassion for people you don’t even know. We could use a little more of that in today’s world.
