El Segundo for Black Lives  is dedicated to addressing and combating systemic racism within every institution and aspect of our community.
We Affirm that Black lives matter.  We seek peace and justice, equality and equity, along with liberty and safety for our black residents, students, professionals, and friends by creating awareness, demanding change, and championing community unity.  In addition to our commitment to achieving meaningful and measurable change on a local level, we support and will assist state, national and global efforts to protect Black lives.

We Believe that El Segundo can be an example to the nation of how a small town can acknowledge its racist past, confront its present racial issues, and craft a brighter future for all Black, Indigenous, People of Color.
