Hello family and friends of the community!
For over a year now, my daughter has had one goal in mind, to help the homeless. Since we live in a big city and often travel to Boston via public transportation, we have seen a lot of people living in the streets. It is never easy for us to see and we all have thought once or twice... But what can I do? I am only one person. There are many people who are living out in the streets without so much as a blanket. And it is not so easy as to find a shelter. My daughter made a commitment to herself last year that she would help them. And now I am asking you to help her with her mission.
Her name is Aniya. She 10 years old with a heart full of passion and selfishness. She enjoys gaming, sports, and hanging out with family and friends. She will cry of happiness during a good family movie. She is always thinking of those who are less fortunate. We do not by any means come from money ourselves. Instead of complaining about what she doesnt have, she is quick to remind herself that there is people out there in this world that is all alone... Hungry... And cold. People who get looked over. People who get made fun of for the position they are in. As she says, " We all struggle in life, but its get better when we have people to count on." We are taught It Takes A Village. I am proud to say Aniya takes the phrase literally and wishes to set even the smallest example. Her example, SWEET DREAMS.
SWEET DREAMS is her unofficial non profit. The goal for SWEET DREAMS is to provide quality grade sleeping bags for the homeless. Sleeping bags that can with stand 0° temps. They fold easily into a backpack for travelling with. We have contacted a company willing to cut their shipping prices and retail sales price for her cause. Instead of paying 35$ they have cut it down to just 12.50! Aniya has saved over 70$ this year for her cause. Please help her reach even more homeless people by donating. We the community have had a tough year. But this year also taught many of us to look out for your neighbor. Let us end this year doing something wonderful!
All sleeping bags will be sanitized before distribution. There will also be pictures posted towards the end goal date as proof of proceeds.
