PGLAE "Lodge to Lodge" Walk

The Provincial Grand Lodge of Aberdeenshire East has decided to arrange a Sponsored walk in a Province wide effort to raise monies in support of Local Food Banks.

There are many justifiable claims on our Charity but the recent increase in energy costs and the current cost if living crisis have left many making choices over how to prioritise spending needs paramount.

The Provincial Grand Master states that this will be the largest fund raiser in the Province during his tenure in office. For that reason, he asks that all Lodges consider supporting both financially and by member participation. Indeed members are encouraged to raise monies from their friends and family.

The idea of the Sponsored Walk would be to visit, on foot, all the Lodges of the Province. Length of complete Walk is calculated at approximately 80miles, no mean feat if participants were to visit all 14 Lodges!

The route, as far as possible, will be limited to paths and minor roads and will not involve main road walking. Where minor road walking is necessary high viz vests will be available. We must not loose sight of the purpose of the Walk which is to raise monies to donate to local Food Banks and assist thos less fortunate than ourselves. All contributions, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
