In Loving Memory of Michael Skelly

On January 27th, the world lost a loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend.
Michael Skelly, beloved “daddy” to his six year old daughter, Emma and beloved husband to his wife Charisse, passed away, suddenly and tragically, of a massive heart attack.
Mike was a member of the NYPD for 24 years. He served in the latent print section, where he was spoken of highly, and remembered by his coworkers as the “fun fact guy” who always had a smile on his face and always spoke about his daughter and wife with admiration.
Because of Mike’s passing and standard protocol by the NYPD, his pension and benefits are pending until everything is reviewed by a board. This process can take at least eight months and has left Charisse and Emma with no health insurance for the time being.
Mike was the type of person who would do anything for anyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it, no matter who it was. He was the main provider of his family.
To honor Mike and to support Charisse and Emma, we would like to lend a helping hand to Charisse so she can provide for Emma the way Mike did.
