Yesterday, my family suffered an unimaginable loss. My brother and sister-in-law's daughter, my niece, Kristen passed away. She was so many things to a lot of people. For me, she was my

sweet little buddy who got stuck with the nickname, Goose, because of her cute little walk when she was still in diapers.

We found out of March 7th that Kristen had cancer. They found it in her mouth, her lymph nodes, her lungs and

her bones. An appointment with an oncologist was scheduled, but before she could get in she ended up in the

emergency room on the 19th because she was feeling so badly. She was promptly admitted to the hospital.

While there, the family was told that she’s only had months to live, maybe a year. As you can imagine, this was completely devastating to those who loved her and came as a total shock. You can't imagine the devastation and shock everyone is feeling to lose her only DAYS later.

Kristen leaves behind two young daughters whom she loved dearly. She was an amazing mother and her girls were her world. Anything raised will help support

them and help the family pay for funeral expenses.
