Our Adoption

Hi, my name is Jayme and my husband Sean and I are looking to adopt a baby. Sean and I met 11 years ago and it was love at first text. We were engaged to be married 4 months after we met, we bought a house and 2 years later we were married. For several years after we were married we tried to get pregnant without any luck. We went through invitro and after that failed as well we decided that maybe it wasn't in the cards for us. So for 5 years we became dog parents and were happy with our lives. Then this year we were approached by a family friend looking to adopt her baby to a family and asked us if we would want to adopt. We obviously leaped at the chance and said yes!! Over the next few months, we got our house prepared buying baby furniture painting the room pink etc. During this time the mother asked for money often, stating she needed the money for various reasons. We gave what we could when we could then about a week before her due date she told us her mother was throwing her out and she was going to be homeless. We took her in and gave her food and shelter and took her places she asked to go. Then the day of delivery came and we took her to the hospital. After a time, she asked for privacy which we agreed and went to breakfast. We came back and were told we were not allowed back into the room. We tried to contact her on the phone and it went unanswered. After about another hour the woman's mother came into the waiting area of the hospital and approached us and said that there was another family already adopting this baby and they were promised months prior to us even being involved. We were destroyed and went to leave as there was nothing else to do or say. Then the woman's mother calls us back and asks me to come back for the delivery. So now we're thinking this mom of this woman is wrong we are getting the baby after all. I watch a beautiful 6 lb 19-inch baby be born into this world I held her in my arms and told her I was her mama and even fed her her first bottle. Then I asked the woman's mother what do we do now and she said we'll see give us a few days. I asked if I could go and get my husband so he can see the baby and they agreed. I went back to the waiting area to get Sean and as we went back to the room we were again told we were not allowed back into the room. Again we tried calling and by this time our numbers were blocked and we were left not knowing what was happening. For days we waited and nothing, no contact, and still blocked so we gave up. This has broken us so badly but through all this time one thing that has remained in our hearts is that we want to be parents. The money will be used to help us with the costs of adoption and potential travel expenses that we may incur. Thank you for any help you can contribute.
