My name is Jada McGill. I am a Monroe College graduate and I have done my very best to be successful for the 22 years of life that I have been given.
I am a human service major, minor in psychology. I’ve never allowed any obstacle thrown at me to stop me from my goals, this one is tougher than others I’ve faced. I honestly don’t know how I overcome this but I’m positive I do.
Due to the many different crisis African American / Hispanics have been facing, I was put in a position to either have some where to sleep or fight against racism and fight for a better world.
I want to live free not in fear that I am going to die because of the melanin in my skin!
I chose what some may consider the wrong choice.”All lives matter”, We are not both being targeted because of the color of our skin. All lives are not being denied opportunities because of the color of their skin.
I am an active protester who has become homeless due to protesting and I have had a difficult time finding employment due to COVID.
I am active protestor in the Black Lives Matter movement and am apart of Aboliton Park ( which was raided by NYPD July 22,2020 @ 3:45 which is where I was living , because I was kicked out for protesting.)
No matter what, I have always tried to help other’s with even the things I don’t have. People need people and it’s important to be a good person to everyone.
Many will attest to that and I hope I can receive some help from you. This GoFundMe is to help me find permanent residency and be able to continue to look for work and be able to do so without fearing and fending myself in the street at night.
Any donation is acknowledged even if it some words of wisdom, or words of encouragement.I am ready to become a better me and I am grateful to even be alive today. Thank you so much.
