Hi, my name is Sop. Please support me in raising money for an educational project that will empower rural learners in Ufodo, Nigeria.

Many children in Ufodo, Enugu State, Nigeria have never had a fair chance to learn how to read, write or do simple arithmetic. This summer, we’ll be doing something about it and we need your help.

From July 20 to August 30, we are launching a rural education intervention to support children in rural Ufodo with foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

Our Plan:

Teacher Training (July 20–30):

We will train 100+ local teachers in the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) method which is a globally proven approach to teaching children grade level reading and math within 65 days. Once trained, these teachers will stay in the community to keep supporting learners well after the project ends.

Children’s Literacy & Learning Camp (August 2–30):

For four weeks, we will host daily learning camps for 300+ children. These children will receive:

Daily reading and math classes

Nutritious meals

School supplies (books, pencils, learning kits)

A safe and joyful learning environment

Why We’re Raising $25,000:

1. Training over 100 local teachers in Ufodo for 10 days on the TARL Method: $5,000.

2. Feeding 300 children for 4 weeks: $7,500.

3. Learning materials and kits: $6,000.

4. Transportation and logistics: $3,000.

5. Local staffing and volunteers: $2,500.

6. Admin and contingency: $1,000

Why Ufodo? Why Now?

We have worked with the Ufodo community for the past 7 years through our organization, Precious Fountain Foundation. We’ve seen the hope in children’s eyes as they trace letters or pronounce words for the first time. But many are still left behind.

This is our chance to make foundational learning accessible, to change the trajectory of young lives with the gift of literacy and numeracy education.

How You Can Help:
