Support Abdulrahman's Family's New Beginning

Hello everyone,

My name is Abdulrahman Atalla, and I want to share our story with you. It’s a story of loss, hope, and the search for a new beginning.

We were a happy family, living in a home built with love and hard work by my parents. But one day, everything changed. On October 7th, we lost our home, our jobs, everything that made our life stable.

Our house wasn't just walls and a roof; it was the result of my parents' lifelong efforts. It was supposed to be their place of rest in their older years, but instead, we all had to start over. My dad, a doctor, had his clinic on the ground floor where he treated many, often for free. That’s all gone now, along with the sense of community we cherished.

My mom, the heart of our home, made our life special with her cooking and care, especially in her favorite spot, the kitchen. Now, that’s all memories.

Our family—my parents, my sisters Hadeel and Rozan, my brother Mohammed, his wife Nagham, their children Lynn, Kareem, Awni, and Maryam, and myself—are left with nothing. No home, no jobs. When the missiles woke us that October morning, we fled with just the clothes on our backs, thinking it would only be for a few days.

We first moved to Sheikh Radwan, then to Al-Nuseirat, escaping bombs and trying to survive. We cooked on fires, struggled to find food, and bathed once a week. Life was just about getting by, day by day, filled with fear.

After months, we moved again, this time to Rafah, with even tougher conditions. Every new warning from the authorities left us wondering, "Where next?". We had no safe place to go.

Eventually, after six months of fear and hardship, we went to Egypt. We had to borrow a lot of money to get there—$25,000 for all of us just to cross the border. Here in Egypt, life is hard too. Rent is expensive, and finding work is tough. Everyone in my family is trying to find a way to make a living.

We are asking for your help. We need support to build a new life, to feel safe again, and to find some stability. Any donation you can give, no matter how small, will make a big difference for us.

Imagine your parents who have spent their entire lives working, raising you and building a home.. losing everything and being forced to start over from scratch again; find a new place, home, work, furniture, life necessities, universities and schools, insurance... etc.

When they're supposed to be resting and retiring..

It’s really hard, but with a little help, we can hope for better days.
