HELP FEED ABUSED CHILDREN OF NEPAL

My name is Joanna Giles, and for over 25 years I have been doing humanitarian work in Nepal. I am a Patron of an orphanage and have helped raise funds for solar panels, cleft lip surgeries, and other life-changing projects.

Now, our most urgent need is food.

In Nepal, many young girls are tragically sexually abused by a relative and then cast out by their families. Let that sink in!

Thankfully, Binita, a brave and compassionate woman, runs a home for these children — giving them safety, love and a chance at life.

But the home needs basic food supplies for the 27 children in her care.

Their monthly food needs are simple but essential:

12 sacks of rice (30 kg each)

25 kg lentils

4 boxes noodles

10 kg beaten rice

25 kg flour

10 boxes biscuits

3 boxes oil (22 liters)

2 crates of eggs (60 pieces)

10 kg snacks (puffed rice, spiced lentils, etc.)

2 dozen poppadoms

15 kg spices (salt, coriander, cumin, turmeric, chili, etc.)

15 kg sugar

2 kg tea

Cost per month: $2,600 USD

Cost for one year: $31,200 USD

Every dollar goes directly toward food for the children.
