Petkau Family as they grieve the loss of little Megan

Dear friends and family,

Thank you for the outpouring of love and support on the Petkau family since Megan’s unexpected tragic death. After a month, it’s apparent that life is moving on. However, for George, Sarita, Francis, and Carter, going on in life without little sister/daughter Megan is a very real and ongoing nightmare.

As a family and community, we stand with them, grieve with them, and sometimes just try to get through the day with them, as we all try to navigate this new journey. For those of us who have gone through loss, we know how incredibly difficult it can be to function on a day to day basis and the debilitating pain and agony of the loss can come out of nowhere for quite some time. We also know how significant it is to have the emotional, spiritual, and even practical support from those around us during a time where sometimes all you can do is continue to exist moment by moment.

It’s come to our attention that there are many who are looking for a way to continue to care for the Petkau family so we decided to open this page on their behalf. We hope that by supporting them financially, the weight will be slightly lifted from their shoulders until they’re able to get back up on their feet. Your contribution is very much appreciated.
