It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Peter Ogilvie, a loving husband, father, brother, son, and friend. Peter courageously fought cancer, but tragically passed away far too young, leaving behind his loving wife Cathy, 13 year old son Noah and two little dogs Maya and Sophie who loved Peter so much. Peter was a remarkable individual yet so incredibly humble. His infectious zest for life and his passionate spirit will leave an indelible mark on the hearts of all those who knew him. Thousands experienced his impact and witnessed his commitment to uniting the community together through family, friends, sports, events and tourism. Now we are calling on all the communities Peter impacted to rally around the Ogilvie family who now face the formidable challenge of moving forward without the love of their lifetime.

To honour Peter, friends have established this GoFundMe fundraiser to help ease the financial burden on Cathy and Noah. Funds raised will go towards funeral expenses, housing costs, Noah's education and soccer pursuits.

Unfortunately, the family may not be eligible for any insurance proceeds as Peter had a recurring case of cancer. As Peter battled through his cancer diagnosis there were many unforeseen costs and not an ability to save for the future. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for the family during this challenging time and is greatly appreciated.
