Kevin Perkins and his family (daughter: Malayea, mother: Michelle, and their puppy: Zoey) lost everything in an apartment fire Friday, July 18th, 2025. They were left with just the clothes on their backs and their cellphones. (did not have renters insurance)

The Red Cross is assisting with a hotel for a couple of weeks. The problem is finding a new 2-bedroom apartment with rent as affordable as their previous apartment. Everything so far has been considerably more. That, on top of replacing all of their apartment contents, furniture, and clothing, is more than they can afford.

Anything will help. We're hoping to raise enough to get them new clothes and to pay for their first month's rent & deposit so they can spend some money on furniture.
