Hi, I’m Taylor — founder of Periods of Transition, a new nonprofit making sure unemployment doesn’t steal dignity.
Because let’s be real: Periods Don’t Give PTO.
I started this after getting laid off at 30. Bills, rent, job hunting… and on top of all that, I still bleed every month. Pads and tampons don’t magically stop being necessary just because a paycheck does. No one should ever have to choose between rent and period care.
The First 100 Campaign
We’re kicking off with one bold goal: funding and delivering 100 pad + tampon kits in 30 days.
Each kit includes:
✨ Pads or tampons
✨ A reminder that dignity doesn’t take time off
Why This Matters:
Periods don’t pause for unemployment. Women and anyone who menstruates are still showing up to interviews, caring for families, and trying to feel human. These kits provide dignity in a season when everything else feels uncertain.
Unemployment may take your job — but it shouldn’t take your dignity.
