Il nostro Salvatore non ha bisogno di presentazioni, oltre ad essere uno dei volontari, sostenitori della Grace Kitchen, era presente già nel giorno in cui l’abbiamo inaugurata ed ha tradotto il discorso inaugurale del nostro amato maestro nell’avvio ufficiale della Sua meravigliosa cucina.

Il 21 ottobre sarà il suo compleanno e ha avviato questa raccolta fondi per donare i suoi regali ai poveri che assistiamo!

Our Salvatore needs no introduction. Besides being one of Grace Kitchen's volunteer supporters, he was present on the day we inaugurated it and translated our beloved maestro's inaugural speech into the official launch of His wonderful kitchen.

October 21st is her birthday, and she's started this fundraiser to donate her gifts to the poor we serve!

Per chi ancora non la conoscesse, condividiamo con voi la storia della Grace!

Attualmente siamo vicinissimi ai 115mila pasti serviti.

Nel 2012, nel centro di Roma è iniziato un servizio settimanale di distribuzione di cibo vegetariano ai bisognosi.

All'inizio si distribuivano 20/30 pasti che i volontari preparavano a casa propria, ci si incontrava poi per la strada, si preparavano buste con un pasto completo vegetariano (pasta, panini, dolcetti, fazzoletti e frutta) e si andava quindi a distribuire la cena.

Nel corso degli anni i poveri da 30,sono diventati 80/90 e preparare le buste per la strada era abbastanza complicato soprattutto in inverno.

Il 16 dicembre 2018 è stata inaugurata la "Grace Kitchen".

È operativa 3 giorni a settimana, il mercoledì,il venerdì e il sabato a partire dalle ore 14:30 e distribuisce i pasti alle ore 19 in strada.

Attualmente siamo 60 volontari attivi e ci prendiamo cura l'uno dell'altro.

Non è,e non sarà mai solo questione cibo. Noi crediamo che una cucina come la Grace nutra innanzitutto le nostre anime,perché ci permette di praticare i valori umani,innanzitutto tra noi volontari e poi ovviamente verso chi ha bisogno di amore,chi ha bisogno di noi,oltre che appunto del cibo.

Anche noi volontari siamo bisognosi,bisognosi di crescere e di amare.

Per noi, non esiste chi da e chi riceve.

Siamo tutti sullo stesso piano.

Auguriamo a tutti di avviare una cucina del genere nella propria città,nel proprio paese e di sperimentare tutto questo.

For those who aren't familiar with it yet, we'd like to share Grace's story with you!

We're currently very close to serving 115,000 meals.

In 2012, a weekly vegetarian food distribution service to the homeless began in the center of Rome. At the beginning, 20/30 meals were distributed which the volunteers prepared at home, they then met on the street, prepared bags with a complete vegetarian meal (pasta, sandwiches, sweets, handkerchiefs and fruit) and then went to distribute the dinner. Over the years, the homeless population went from 30 to 80/90 and preparing the bags for the street was quite complicated, especially in winter.

The "Grace Kitchen" was inaugurated on December 16, 2018.

It operates 3 days a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays starting from 2.30pm and distributes meals at 7pm on the street.

We are currently 60 active volunteers and we take care of each other.

It is not, and will never be just about food.

We believe that a kitchen like Grace nourishes our souls first and foremost, because it allows us to practice human values, first among us volunteers and then obviously towards those who need love, those who need us, as well as food. We volunteers are also needy, in need of growing and loving. For us, there is no giver and recipient. We are all on the same level.

We wish everyone to start a cuisine like this in their own city, in their own country and to experience all this.
